VOTE NO ON 66 & 67
I am writing to you personally so you will vote NO on measures 66 & 67.
It seems that some people in the unions of Oregon still wish to have bigger and bigger income while private industry struggles to make it in this slowing economy. As a small business owner of a C corporation my filing fee in Oregon will have a large increase. Most large Corporations can pass this on to you, the customer; my type of business cannot. Why should the private business in Oregon pay for the bad spending of the 2009 Oregon legislature? Our Governor, when he came to office, gave us a promise that he would not raise taxes. The first year in office he increased the income of his favorite people that followed him into office. This was a big payoff with our money. Now those big-government employees can’t find the money to pay for it. The one thing that the government does not understand is that they do not make money, it comes from the private sector. Without a No vote on measure 66 & 67 more money will be taken out of the private sector and we will not be able to hire more people who pay taxes to the State of Oregon. As a government employee you will be killing your own jobs. It is important that government employees make a good wage but to be greedy in a time of downturn is just foolish. Please vote No on measures 66 & 67.
George Abbott
