While a lot of the political focus has been on the health care fiasco in Washington and the extortion of our tax dollars with M66/67 in Oregon, there are a couple of local races that need to grab our attention. We have a chance to get some fiscal responsibility back into Clackamas County by replacing the crew of Democrats now running our County with some conservative Republicans. The candidates for Clackamas County Commissioner will be facing off at a forum in Eagle Creek this Thursday, Aprill 8. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Eagle Creek Grade School, 30391 SE Hwy 211. (Oregonian, 4-6-10, Clackamas County candidates to appear at Eagle Creek forum). Republicans running in this nonpartisan race are Jim Needham, Warren Kitchen, Dan Holladay, and Paul Savas.
