I continue to support Michael Steele despite the so called spending controversies that appear in the news. We must be suspicious of the media who would look to discredit the republican party at a time when momentum is building for the party. They would like nothing better than to drive a wedge between the party faithful and its leadership.
What I DO NOT like is Michael Steele using the "race card" as an excuse for the criticisms that may come his way.
I resent it when I hear racism being thrown out as a reason why I must be opposed to President Obama. I resent it even more when a member of the Republican Party uses it as an excuse for scrutiny from members of his own party. It is what the Democrats falsely accuse us of all the time. It is their go to game plan. Having a member of our own party come out and say such things only plays right into their hands.
Someone should inform Michael Steele that using the race card may just be the very thing his supporters will use to turn on him. He should know better.
